Charges have been filed against a woman who police say poured bleach on another woman’s face during a fight inside a River North club’s ladies room.

Kamisha Martin, 24, of the West Ridge neighborhood is charged with one felony count of aggravated battery with a flammable or caustic substance. Bail was set at $5,000 by Judge Susan Ortiz.

Police were called to Joy District, 112 West Hubbard, around 1:15 a.m. on Thursday after witnesses reported that a woman had been beaten up and had bleach poured on her face during a disturbance in a restroom. Prosecutors said Martin threw a cup of bleach on the victim’s face and eyes during an altercation. Police officers said the victim was “incapacitated with swelling to the face and eyes.”

The 24-year-old victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she was listed in serious condition.
