“Unusual circumstances” surround disappearance of man in Rogers Park

Update: Police on Monday evening said Bell has been located. A friend of Bell’s stated on Facebook that he is in a hospital, but the friend did not provide any further information. Our original story follows.

Chicago police say a 26-year-old Villa Park man has gone missing under “unusual circumstances” after leaving a popular Rogers Park nightclub this weekend.

Preston “PJ” Bell was last seen entering a taxi in front of Jackhammer, 6404 North Clark, around 4:20 a.m. on Sunday, according to police and a missing person flyer.

The taxi took Bell on a three-minute ride to the area near Clark Street and Peterson Avenue. Bell paid his fare and exited the cab., according to a missing person bulletin issued Monday afternoon by Chicago police.

Bell was last seen wearing a black and white zip-up hoodie and black Adidas track pants, according to information circulated online by his friends.

He is 6’2” tall and 180 pounds with blonde hair and a reddish beard, according to details released by police and his friends. He has several tattoos, including a scorpion and a dragon on his arm.
