Two adults and a grade school child visited a Clybourn Corridor candy store on Tuesday evening. And the adults robbed the place.
The man, woman, and child entered It’s Sugar, 1501 North Halsted, shortly after 8 p.m.
After a few moments, the man approached the store’s employee, implied that he was armed with a handgun, and took $35 cash from the register. The trio then fled the scene.
Officers on the scene generated descriptions of the three individuals after reviewing surveillance video:
- A slim, six-foot-tall black male wearing a red, white, and blue Tommy Hilfiger coat.
- A black female who stands about 5’3” tall, weighs 160 pounds and wore a black hat with a black jacket.
- An approximately 10-year-old child who wore a red jacket with a black and white cap.
They were last seen heading westbound on Blackhawk Street.
