Teens mug 67-year-old in North Center

Two teenagers battered and robbed a 67-year-old man in the North Center neighborhood on Saturday afternoon, police said. Both boys were arrested.

The offenders, ages 16 and 17, took the man’s phone and punched him in the face on the 4400 block of North Lincoln just before 2:30 p.m., according to a CPD spokesperson.

Police located the teens on the 2300 block of West Montrose about 10 minutes later. Both were then identified as the offenders, the spokesperson said.

Prosecutors charged each teen with one felony count of robbery. No further information is available about the offenders because they are juveniles.
