A 39-year-old man is in good condition after he was stabbed during an argument on the Jackson Red Line platform during the Tuesday evening rush hour, police said.
Citing preliminary information that may change, CPD said a verbal dispute between the injured man and another man escalated and the victim received a single stab wound to his right hip shortly after 6 p.m.
Police had a vague description of the offender who may have slipped through a CTA pedestrian tunnel and then boarded a northbound Blue Line train.
The victim is being treated at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings.
Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
