CTA passenger robbed in the Loop on Easter Sunday

Two people battered and robbed a CTA passenger as they rode the Blue Line downtown Sunday afternoon, police said. No one is in custody.

The offenders approached the victim on the train near the Washington station around 3:25 p.m., according to a police spokesperson. They put the 17-year-old in a headlock, battered him, took his valuables, and fled.

According to the victim, the robbers are a black male who’s about 17-years-old. He wore a yellow t-shirt with writing on it, purple or blue jogging pants, and white gym shoes. The other offender is a black female in her teens who wore a bow in her hair and had a dark-colored backpack with a pink water bottle on it.
