A 19-year-old man is in serious condition after someone shot him in the face in the Rogers Park neighborhood on Sunday evening, police said.
The victim told police that a stranger pulled a gun on him in an alley on the 6500 block of North Ashland around 5:50 p.m. The gunman fired two shots, striking the man once in the face, according to police.
An ambulance crew transported the victim to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston with a “through and through” gunshot wound to his left cheek.
Police did not release a description of the shooter.
