Police are looking for a man who reached under a woman’s dress and groped her as she walked in West Town. Detectives released a community alert about the incident on Tuesday.
The woman, whose age was not disclosed, reported she was walking alone when the man approached her from behind on the 1400 block of West Blackhawk around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17. The man reached under her dress and began touching her inappropriately, according to a CPD report.
Police said the man ran away after the woman confronted him about his conduct. She reported that he ran eastbound in a nearby alley.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 25- and 35-years-old who stands about 5’9” tall. He reportedly wore a blue and red “Chicago” hat, a light-colored shirt, light-colored shorts, and gym shoes.
