Man robs Lakeview bank Saturday

Surveillance images of the robber | FBI

The man who robbed a Lakeview bank Saturday afternoon got away with only about $100, but the FBI is looking for him just the same.

Federal authorities said the offender entered Chase Bank at 3032 North Clark around 12:02 p.m. and demanded money from a teller.

The bank branch is outfitted with a wall of bullet-resistant material between tellers and customers.

According to police, the man is about 6-feet tall and around 50-years-old. He was last seen heading southbound after the robbery.

Anyone with information about the man can contact the FBI’s Chicago field office at 312-421-6700. The bureau is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads directly to the man’s arrest and conviction.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas.
