Woman sexually abused while walking dog near Foster Beach, cops say

A woman was sexually abused Saturday morning by a man who approached her from behind as she walked her dog near Foster Beach, police said. No one is in custody.

The victim told police she and her dog were walking in the 5300 block of North Lake Shore Drive when the offender rode up on a bike, slapped her on the buttocks, and groped her around 5:45 a.m., according to a CPD report. He then rode away northbound on the bike path, police said.

The woman walked to her nearby home and called 911.

He was shirtless and wore black shorts with gray underwear, according to the alert.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas.
