Armed robbery crew attacks, robs 2 men on Far North Side

An armed robbery crew battered attacked two men in separate hold-ups on the city’s Far North Side on Wednesday evening, according to police records. No arrests have been made.

The first robbery unfolded around 8 p.m. on the 1300 block of West Estes in Rogers Park. Police said four men jumped out of a black Toyota RAV4 and two of them pointed handguns at the victim as they robbed him of his phone and wallet.

Then, around 10:45 p.m., a passer-by reported seeing a man bleeding from his head on a bus stop bench in the 6100 block of North Western Avenue. The victim told police that four men who got out of a black RAV4 struck him in the head with a handgun, then took his phone and money.

An ambulance transported the second victim to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston for treatment. 

According to the victims, the robbers are four Black men between 18- and 25-years-old.

No arrests have been made. Area Three detectives are investigating.
