Burglary alert issued for Lincoln Park

A series of apartment burglaries has prompted Chicago police to issue a community alert for the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Detectives have connected at least four burglaries since June 25 to a single suspect.

The prowler enters apartments by force or through unlocked doors and takes property from inside, according to the CPD alert. Police said the burglar is a White male who stands about 6’3” tall and weighs about 215 pounds. He has white hair, blue eyes, and appears to be between 45- and 50-years-old.

Burglaries linked to the man were reported:

  • on the 1900 block of North Sheffield during the evening of June 25
  • on the 500 block of West Armitage during the afternoon of June 30
  • on the 600 block of West Armitage during the afternoon of July 2
  • on the 2100 block of North Cleveland during the morning of July 2
