Man shot in Rogers Park drive-by Thursday afternoon

A 29-year-old man is in good condition after someone fired shots at him from a car in Rogers Park on Thursday afternoon, according to CPD records.

The victim was on the 7300 block of North Paulina when a gunman rolled up in a car and shot him in the leg around 4 p.m. At least one spent shell casing was found at the scene.

Police could not find the victim when they arrived on-scene, but he later showed up at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston with a gunshot wound to his left thigh.

According to police records, the victim has been arrested 13 times in Chicago since 2014, mostly for minor crimes in the Uptown neighborhood.

No one is in custody. Area North detectives are investigating.
