Two men carjacked a driver at gunpoint while the victim waited for a passenger in the North Center neighborhood on Friday evening, police said. No arrests have been made.
The driver, a 50-year-old man, pulled over in the 3800 block of North Oakley to wait for a passenger when the men walked up to his side window and pointed a gun at him around 11:40 p.m., said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a CPD spokesperson.
The men demanded his car, and the victim complied. Taken was a silver 2007 Lexus sedan with a license plate that begins with Q4306.
According to the victim, the carjackers are two Black men in their late teens or early 20’s. They wore face masks, and their gun had a laser sight attached, he said.
Area Three detectives are investigating.
