Police seek man in Edgewater sexual abuse case

Police are on the lookout for a man who sexually abused a woman as she walked in the Edgewater neighborhood, according to a community alert from CPD.

The woman, age 27, was on the 5400 block of North Broadway when the man “approached her from behind and touched her inappropriately under her clothing” around 3:30 p.m. on August 20, the police notice said.

According to the same bulletin, the man also stole money from a nearby restaurant. He is 22- to 32-years-old, 5’10” to 6’1” tall, thin, and has dreadlocks.
