A serial burglar has forced his way into at least three homes in Lincoln Park over the past couple of weeks, according to Chicago police. No one’s been arrested so far.
In a community alert issued Monday night, Area Three detectives said the prowler enters homes by breaking the glass on front doors or removing screens to enter through open windows.
Detectives linked three cases to the pattern Monday:
- on the 700 block of West Belden during the evening of September 16
- on the 600 block of West Fullerton during the morning of September 24
- on the 2100 block of North Cleveland during the afternoon of October 2
Police did not release a description of the offender. However, they encouraged residents to keep doors and windows locked.
