The FBI is trying to locate the man who robbed an Edgewater bank branch Tuesday morning.

Police responded to a silent teller alarm at Byline Bank, 5342 North Broadway, just before 10 a.m. Bank workers told investigators that they were robbed by a man who wore a trenchcoat and carried a Dollar Tree shopping bag. He reportedly fled north on Broadway after the heist.

The FBI said the robber is between 40- and 50-years-old and he wore dark sunglasses. Wednesday morning, the federal agency tweeted that information leading to the man’s arrest and conviction “could be worth a reward.”

Anyone with information about the suspect can contact the FBI’s Chicago Field Office at 312-421-6700.
