Two men are hospitalized following a double-shooting in the Edgewater neighborhood Friday afternoon, police said. No arrests have been made.

The victims were in a parking area on the 1700 block of West Thome when shots rang out around 1:31 p.m., according to police and a witness.

Shortly after the shooting, the men arrived at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in a bullet-riddled minivan, according to officers at the scene.

Witnesses reported seeing a black Cadillac driving away from the shooting scene after gunfire broke out. Police found shell casings and an ammunition magazine on Thome.

Other witnesses said the injured men also fired shots and their van may have been driven by a woman.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas.
