Wicker Park: Cops seek hit-and-run driver who struck pedestrian

A hit-and-run collision left a pedestrian seriously injured in Wicker Park on Tuesday evening. Now, investigators have released images of the vehicle that was involved.

Police said a 32-year-old woman was crossing North Avenue at Damen Avenue when an SUV turned left from Damen and struck her around 5:45 p.m. The driver continued traveling westbound on North Avenue after hitting her, according to police.

In a bulletin seeking information about the case, police said they do not know the SUV’s make or model. But they said it is black, and they included two images of the actual vehicle involved in the crash.

The victim was listed in fair condition.
