Two residential burglaries in Lincoln Park this week have prompted Chicago police to issue a community alert for the North Side neighborhood. Detectives typically issue alerts when they believe an individual or group is responsible for committing a series of crimes.
The burglaries took place Tuesday between 9:55 p.m. and 10:25 p.m. in the 400 block of West Roslyn and at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of West Lill, according to the alert. In both cases, the burglar broke ground-floor windows to enter the homes.
A witness to one of the burglaries said the offender is a White male between 25- and 35-years-old who stands 6’2” to 6’4” tall and weighs about 200 pounds.
Detectives encouraged residents of the area to tell neighbors and family members about the pattern and to keep an eye out for suspicious people.
