Rogers Park: 2 robberies in about 15 minutes Friday morning

Police are investigating two robberies that unfolded in about 15 minutes Friday morning in Rogers Park. No arrests have been made. Police believe the same duo is responsible for both crimes, which were reported around 11:45 a.m.

In one case, a man displayed a handgun and robbed a man near the corner of Glenwood and Arthur. The offender then ran to a silver SUV with a female driver that was waiting nearby. The vehicle sped away through the west alley of Glenwood, according to the victim

Around the same time, Loyola police found another robbery victim on the 1200 block of West Columbia. The victim said a man robbed them and then fled to the silver or gray SUV, which was waiting on Sheridan. It then went westbound on Albion.

The main suspect is a Black male in his late teens who stands about 5’6” tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He wore a white or gray hoodie.

Earlier Friday morning, another man reported being robbed a little farther north in the 1600 block of West Jarvis. The victim told police he was walking when the robber approached, displayed a gun, and took his iPhone and cash around 6:45 a.m., according to a CPD report.

The suspect is a Black male who stands about 5’11” and weighs about 170 pounds. He was last seen southbound on Paulina wearing a dark jacket and a dark mask.
