Woman carjacked outside Irving Park Walgreens

A carjacker pulled a 64-year-old woman from her vehicle on a Walgreens parking in the Irving Park neighborhood Wednesday evening, according to a CPD report. No arrests have been made.

The victim was sitting in her blue Honda Civic outside the 4343 North Kedzie store when another woman opened her driver’s side door, grabbed her coat, and pulled her from the vehicle around 9:30 p.m., the report said.

The carjacker then climbed into the car and drove away eastbound on Montrose. She did not display or claim to have a weapon during the carjacking, a CPD spokesperson said.

Surveillance video showed the attacker walked from a nearby gas station before the carjacking.

Police said the hijacker is a White female who’s between 40- and 50-years-old and 200 to 250 pounds. She was wearing a black coat and white gym shoes.

Area Five detectives are investigating.
