Man critical after stabbing near Millennium Park, police say

Police are looking for the attacker who stabbed a man near Millennium Park on Friday evening. The victim, age 23, is in critical condition, according to CPD.

He was walking on the sidewalk at Michigan and Randolph when the offender ran up and began stabbing him with a knife around 8:35 p.m., police said. The attacker ran westbound on the north side of Randolph Street.

An ambulance transported the victim to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Witnesses told police the suspect is a short, thin, younger Black male who wore a black winter cap and a black jacket. He may have come out of the Metra Millennium Station immediately before the attack, officers at the scene said.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
