Robbery, theft crew struck 3 times this week on Far North Side, police say

Police are looking for a group of men that has been on a robbery and theft spree on the Far North Side this week.

According to a community alert from Area Three detectives, the men have been stealing from stores, taking cars, and robbing people on the street.

Two of the three incidents that police have linked to the crew were reported Monday afternoon.

At 2:04 p.m., three men stole a large amount of merchandise from a store in a strip mall at 1751 West Howard in Rogers Park. They then fled in a gray car,

Less than ten minutes later, two offenders robbed a man at gunpoint on the 2000 block of West Lunt, the alert said. They took the victim’s wallet, cash, and then fled in a gray vehicle.

They apparently took Tuesday off and then returned to steal a car sitting next to a gas pump at a service station on the 6000 block of North Western.

Police said one suspect is a Black male between 17- and 21-years-old who has dreadlocks, stands about 5’9” tall, and wore red clothes with a black jacket. Another offender is a Black male of about the same age and height who wore a black jogging suit with gray markings and a yellow jacket.
