Cops look for car used by gunman who shot at Rogers Park police station

Area Three detectives on Tuesday released a surveillance image of the car used by a gunman who opened fire on the 24th District police station in Rogers Park over the weekend.

The vehicle pulled up to the station 6464 North Clark at 10:21 a.m. Sunday and someone in the car fired shots toward the building, according to Officer Jessica Rocco. The vehicle then sped northbound on Clark Street.

No one was injured, but bullets struck the building’s brickwork, and people were waiting at a nearby bus stop when the shots were fired.

The car is believed to be black Mazda3 with silver wheels and tinted windows.
