Each time, between one and four offenders wearing ski masks took the victim’s valuables at gunpoint and fled in a black vehicle, according to a Chicago police alert.

Most recently, four masked men confronted a man with handguns on the 500 block of North Franklin around 12:45 a.m. Monday, according to information from the alert and a CPD report. The victim believed the offenders escaped in a black Porsche.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas.
