A man with a history of sexual behavior in public, including two allegations in the past month, is finally facing a felony charge instead of a misdemeanor. Aaron Green, 65, has been arrested across the North Side, but he has only faced minor charges — until now.
Cops arrested him twice for sexual behavior at CTA stations in 2015.
In May of that year, a 39-year-old woman told police Green had his shorts down to his knees and touched his privates while moaning and yelling obscenities at the Argyle Red Line station, according to a CPD report.
Just four months later, police arrested Green after a man saw him repeatedly pulling his shorts aside to expose his genitals when women passed him on the Wilson Red Line platform, another CPD report said.
Green pleaded guilty in November 2015 to two misdemeanor counts of public indecency. He received concurrent terms of court supervision and probation, court records show.
Last month, police arrested Green again on the 1300 block of North Wells after a passerby reported that a man was exposing himself to people from his parked car around noon on March 12.
CPD officers pulled up the feed from a surveillance camera next to the Franklin School baseball field and saw Green pleasuring himself in the passenger seat of his car, a CPD report said. Cops found Green in the car alone with his shorts on the driver’s seat and a towel partly covering his privates, police said.
“I’m in counseling,” Green allegedly told officers. “My wife and I are going through some things.”
He was charged with misdemeanor public indecency and went home from the police station on a recognizance bond that evening, records show.
Less than a month later, at 1:20 p.m. on April 9, police arrested Green again in Rogers Park.
A witness called police after she allegedly saw Green sitting in the front passenger seat of his car on the 1200 block of West Devon with his pants down and his engorged privates fully exposed. The woman told police it was the second time she had seen Green doing that in six days — and this time he was pleasuring himself while making eye contact with her, prosecutors said.
They smacked him with a felony public indecency charge.
Judge Susana Ortiz set bail at $20,000. Green went home on electronic monitoring after posting a 10% deposit, records show.
Update October 10, 2022: Green pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of misdemeanor public indecency and received 18 months conditional discharge from Judge Stanley Sacks.
