Woman shot, stabbed by an acquaintance during argument in Rogers Park

A 23-year-old woman is recovering after a woman she knows stabbed and shot her during an argument in Rogers Park this morning, police said.

The women were arguing on the 7100 block of North Glenwood when the offender pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the thigh around 10:18 a.m., according to a CPD statement. Then, then shot the victim in her other thigh.

Police said the offender left the scene in a dark-colored vehicle. Officers found the car unoccupied in West Ridge a short time later and were preparing to tow it for investigation.

Today’s victim is the eighth person shot in Rogers Park this year. By comparison, last year had four shooting victims as of April 29.

Area Three detectives are handling the investigation.
