Hit-and-run driver seriously injured a 77-year-old woman on the Magnificent Mile, police say

Chicago police are hoping the public will help them track down the driver who struck and seriously injured a 77-year-old woman on the Magnificent Mile.

The driver of a white Kia Sportage hit the woman in a crosswalk at 618 North Michigan at 3:53 p.m. on June 3, according to a CPD bulletin. That location is outside Grand Lux cafe.

Police said the driver continued heading south on Michigan Avenue after hitting the woman.

According to police, the Sportage may be a 2010 to 2015 model. It had orange tape on the windshield.
