Police looking for hit-and-run driver who injured motorcyclist in Roscoe Village

Chicago police are asking for help as they try to track down a hit-and-run driver who struck a 70-year-old motorcyclist in Roscoe Village on Friday afternoon.

According to a police report, the motorcyclist was traveling behind the Prius and tried to pass the car on the right by driving in the bicycle lane. The vehicles collided as he tried to pass, causing the motorcyclist to lose control and slide across Roscoe Street, the report said.

The driver of the car, a silver-colored Toyota Prius C, continued eastbound, according to police. CPD said the motorcyclist, who lives in Logan Square, was seriously injured.
