Man dead after more than 30 shots are fired in Bucktown overnight

More than 30 shots were fired on Milwaukee Avenue in Bucktown overnight, leaving a 31-year-old man dead.

Around 1:40 a.m., the victim was standing on the sidewalk next to a car when a gunman rolled up in another vehicle and began shooting at him in the 1800 block of North Milwaukee, according to Chicago police.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas.
