Robbers stab man on Loop Red Line platform; a woman was shot at the same station Saturday

A 44-year-old man was stabbed during a robbery on the State-Lake Red Line platform in the Loop this morning, Chicago police said. A woman was shot on a train at the same station yesterday.

Around 2:30 Sunday morning, four robbers confronted the victim on the platform, and one of them pulled out a knife and attacked him, according to CPD.

The group took the man’s property and fled the scene. Police did not release any descriptions of the men.

EMS took the victim to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment of multiple stab wounds to his chest. He was in good condition, according to police.

On Saturday, a 30-year-old woman was shot in the knee during an argument on a Red Line train at State-Lake.

CTA surveillance video showed the gunman exiting the tunnel through an emergency exit that leads to the outside. A police surveillance officer said he was a Black male who wore a black t-shirt with the letter V on it, black track pants with a white stripe, and Air Jordan 12s. The operator said he was with a Black female who wore a two-color hoodie with dark pants and multi-colored shoes.
