Prosecutors say a woman with the cognitive abilities of a 6-year-old was sexually assaulted by a residential care facility worker who was on electronic monitoring for allegedly possessing a firearm while he was on bail for shooting a man in 2020.

Cook County sheriff’s office investigators found nearly $1 million worth of narcotics, over $11,000 cash, and a gun in the home of a Chicago man who was on electronic monitoring for a pending narcotics and firearms case, officials said. He is also on probation for manufacture-delivery of cocaine.

Federal prosecutors say a Chicago man robbed an undercover ATF agent during what was supposed to be an illegal gun sale in a Bronzeville grocery store parking lot last week.

Salvador Reitinger received a 12-year sentence for his second carjacking, but got out of prison in July after serving less than 5 years. Now, Chicago police say, he shot and tried to kill a security guard.
