Chicago — Four men were robbed and carjacked by a group of offenders inside a Streeterville parking garage on Wednesday evening, according to Chicago police. One of the victims was pistol-whipped, but no other injuries were reported.
The victims were walking toward their car on the fourth floor of a parking garage in the 300 block of East Ohio when they were confronted by five men around 10:08 p.m., police said.
All five offenders displayed handguns as they took the victims’ phones, passports, and wallets, then drove away with their 2014 Toyota Corolla.
An officer said that the hijackers drove away with one victim inside the Corolla, but they dumped him out on the ramp before leaving the garage.

Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas. But our mission remains unchanged: To provide original public safety reporting with better context and greater detail than mainstream media outlets.
