Chicago — Armed men robbed a 14-year-old boy as he walked in Ravenswood on Friday afternoon, according to Chicago police.

The teen was in the 1500 block of West Sunnyside when a white Porsche stopped near him around 4:34 p.m., a CPD spokesperson said. Two men got out of the Porsche, pointed a gun at him, and told him to give them his property.

After he handed over his backpack, the pair returned to the Porsche and drove away. They were described as two Black males, one wearing a white hoodie and the other wearing a red hoodie.

A witness saw the robbery in progress and called 911 for the boy, who was not injured.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas.
