Gunman robbed a Lincoln Park man through his apartment window, police report says

Chicago police are investigating after a Lincoln Park man reported that two men robbed him at gunpoint through his apartment window.

The 18-year-old was inside his basement apartment in the 2500 block of North Seminary when two offenders knocked on the window around 10:30 Wednesday night, a Chicago police spokesperson said.

They inserted a handgun through the open window and ordered him to hand over cash. He complied, and the robbers ran away through a nearby alley.

The victim’s mother called the police, and cops found four juveniles leaving the area, including one who ran from an alley near the victim’s home. The teens were taken in for curfew violations but were not charged with the robbery.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
