Cops looking for Belmont Red Line bike thief

Chicago — The Chicago Police Department’s public transportation unit is trying to track down a bike thief who struck at the Belmont CTA station in Lakeview this week.

Transit officers released two surveillance images of the suspect. They said he cut the lock off a bike and took it from the station around 3:45 p.m. on Monday.

Anyone with information about the man can contact detectives at 312-745-4443 about case number JG-176458.
