Chicago police have released surveillance images of the man who stabbed and robbed a passenger on an Orange Line train Wednesday morning.

The 40-year-old victim was riding the train toward Midway Airport when the robbery unfolded around 4:36 a.m., police said.

Near Western Avenue, the offender put a knife to the victim’s throat and ordered him to surrender his property, according to CPD. After the robber stabbed him three times in the neck and chest, the victim complied by handing over his phone and wallet, according to a CPD media statement.

CPD said investigators believe this is the attacker after he changed clothes. In a media release, the department highlighted a unique tattoo on the man’s hand. | Chicago Police Department
