CHICAGO — A man is in critical condition after being shot while standing on a West Loop street corner overnight, Chicago police said.
The victim was near the corner of Randolph and Sangamon when someone fired shots from a vehicle around 1:18 a.m., according to a CPD statement.
One round struck the 33-year-old in his chest and he was taken to Stroger Hospital.
First responders located the man outside a late-night Taco Bell Cantina, a short distance west of the intersection.
Police did not release any information about the suspects or the vehicle involved.
