Chicago police are looking for a man who has recently committed two robberies along the Red Line. Mass Transit detectives released surveillance images of the suspect and brief details about the crimes on Monday.
On May 30, a woman was on the Roosevelt Red Line platform around 5 p.m. when he tried to take her sunglasses from her head by force, detectives said. He left the platform after the robbery attempt failed.
He successfully robbed another woman while riding a Red Line train as it approached Morse around 7:45 p.m. on May 30, according to police. In that case, he took the victim’s headphones by force and fled when the train arrived at the station.
Police said the man is 25 to 30 years old.
