2 robberies reported inside Loop parking garage, Chicago police say

CHICAGO — Two people were robbed during separate incidents inside a Loop parking garage over the weekend, Chicago police said.

Both victims were in a garage in the 800 block of South Wabash when a man tried to take their car or other belongings, according to a CPD community alert. He threatened to hurt both victims, police said.

One robbery occurred around 12:25 p.m. on Saturday, December 2. About 15 minutes later, the man tried to take a woman’s car.

CPD’s alert described the suspect as a Black man between 28 and 35 years old who wore a black jacket with a white logo, black pants, and black and white Nike gym shoes.
