Cops hunt man who pointed a gun at CTA bus driver

Chicago police detectives are on the hunt for a man who pointed a pistol at a CTA bus driver. Area Five detectives released these CTA surveillance images of the man. The pictures clearly show a gun in his right hand as he sits in a seat directly behind the driver.

The assault occurred around 11:40 p.m. on January 13 in the 1100 block of North Cicero, police said.

A source familiar with the case said the man boarded a southbound bus and pointed a gun at the male driver near Division Street. No injuries were reported. The driver summoned police to the scene, but the gunman was gone when they arrived.
