Serial bank robber strikes again and again, racking up 4 robberies since Halloween, FBI says

CHICAGO — A serial bank robber that we told you about on December 28 has already robbed two more banks in 2024, according to the FBI. They continue to offer a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads “directly” to his arrest.

His first robbery was just after 6 p.m. on Halloween at the Huntington Bank branch inside Jewel-Osco, 4355 North Sheridan. He fled without getting any money from the teller, according to an FBI bulletin.

He had better luck on December 26, when he robbed another Huntington branch inside a different Jewel. This one occurred around 5:49 p.m. at the 5343 North Broadway location.

Now, the FBI says he has robbed two more banks, one in Lincoln Park and another in Rogers Park.

On January 3, he robbed Byline Bank, 2000 North Halsted, around 4:53 p.m. Then, on January 6, he robbed the Associated Bank inside Jewel-Osco at 1763 West Howard, the agency said.

In its reward announcement, the FBI said the robber is about 5’7″ tall and 60 to 65 years old.
