Officers found man stabbed inside a vehicle on Lincoln Avenue, CPD says

Chicago police officers found a man stabbed inside a car that was parked in the middle of Lincoln Avenue in West Ridge on Sunday evening.

The officers were on patrol in the 5600 block of North Lincoln when they saw a vehicle parked in the traffic lanes, according to a CPD media statement. They discovered a 45-year-old man inside the vehicle with a stab wound and said they used QuikClot to help control blood loss. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in fair condition.

Police said the assailant fled in a black SUV, but the department did not release any details about a possible motive.

Officers at the scene said the attacker was a Black male with a mustache who stood about 6 feet tall and was wearing a red top. The suspect was accompanied by a White woman.
