CHICAGO — Two Subway restaurants were robbed at gunpoint in under 30 minutes Tuesday night in Avondale and Logan Square. No arrests have been made.

In each robbery, three men entered the restaurant, displayed at least two guns, and demanded money from the register. Employees at both locations complied with the robber’s commands, police said.

The first robbery occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of West Diversey. A witness reported seeing three men behind the counter displaying guns and taking cash. About 20 minutes later, the Subway at 3333 West Belmont was robbed by men who entered through the back of the store.

Officers were told to be on the lookout for three Black males wearing all-black clothing and black ski masks. The crew was last seen heading south from the Belmont location.
