Cops looking for man who mugged CTA passenger at Granville

Chicago police are asking for help as they try to track down the man who robbed a CTA passenger on the North Side a few days ago. Mass Transit Unit detectives released a picture of the man on Saturday afternoon.

They said he sprayed the victim with a “chemical irritant” on the Granville Red Line platform around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 28. After spraying the victim, the robber forcefully took their cash and fled.

CPD said he is probably 19 to 25 years old.
