Suspect sought in downtown convenience store robberies (video)

CHICAGO — Police have released surveillance video of a man they believe robbed two convenience stores in the Loop in December. The robber took cash, tobacco products, and “consumable goods” from displays while holding clerks at gunpoint, police said.

He robbed a store in the first block of North Wells at 12:28 a.m. on December 4 and another in the 100 block of West Madison on December 10 at 11:27 p.m., according to CPD. Check out the video from one of those holdups:

Area Three detectives are investigating the crimes. Their number is 312-744-8263. The store robberies are identified in crime pattern #23-3-101.
