Panhandler attacked CTA passenger who wouldn’t give him money: Chicago police

CHICAGO — Police are looking for the man who attacked a CTA passenger in the Loop after the victim refused to give him change.

The victim was on the State-Lake Red Line platform when the assailant approached him around 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, police said.

After the victim declined to give the man change, he kicked and punched the victim in the face, CPD said in a “seeking to identify” bulletin.

They said the suspect is a man between 40 and 50 years old. He stands 5’6″ to 5’9″ tall and weighs 160 to 200 pounds, the bulletin said.
