CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was part of a group that attacked, stabbed, and robbed a 15-year-old in the middle of the Loop last month, Chicago police said today.

CPD officers arrested the older boy yesterday near State and Erie to face charges in the case.

Police said the victim was on the sidewalk in the 100 block of North Dearborn when four males approached him from behind around 4:30 p.m. on May 12. Two of the offenders stabbed the boy in the back, and the group robbed him before running away.

The victim was critically injured, according to the police.  They said the 16-year-old is charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
