Delivery driver carjacked in Bucktown

CHICAGO — A food delivery driver was carjacked in Bucktown on Wednesday evening, Chicago police say.

The 35-year-old was walking to her car near Gracie O’Malley’s, 1635 North Milwaukee, when a gunman confronted her around 9:25 p.m. He got into her gray Jeep Grand Cherokee and drove away, last seen heading north on Milwaukee.

CPD said the woman was not injured.

According to officers at the scene, the carjacker was a skinny Black male, about 30 years old, wearing dark clothing. He was walking before he carjacked the woman, so he did not appear to have accomplices.

CWBChicago was created in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had grown disheartened with inaccurate information that was being provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has expanded since then to cover Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side Areas.
